Job Description
Located in the South East we require a Senior House Officer in Urology. Commencing 13 September for 1 month in the first instance 8am to 5pm\'s each day. Accommodation available and attractive rates of pay. We run a Red Letter Days reward scheme.Hospital summaryThis is a District General Hospital with a bed complement of 512. It was opened in 1972 and encompass the full range of core Medical and Surgical specialities including Accident and Emergency Departments. The hospital also has a number of specialist units including nephro-urology, plastic surgery and ENT. Outpatient services are provided in all main specialties.The hospital has a 5-bedded Coronary Care Unit on one of the medical wards as well as an Intensive Care Unit with 5 beds and a 4 bedded High Dependency Unit.The radiology department is well equipped with nuclear medicine facilities and modern imaging technology including colour flow doppler, CT including spiral, fluoroscopy and MRI as well as offering a wide range of interventional techniques.. There is a full range of on-site pathology services. LocationThe Hospital is situated 2 miles north of Old Stevenage between the three main centres of population - Stevenage, Hitchin and Letchworth. It is adjacent to junction 8 of the A1(M). There is easy access to London by road and rail, 40 minutes and 30 minutes respectively. There is also a fast train service to Cambridge and a regular bus service to Stevenage, Hitchin and Letchworth.
